As we prepare for next season, we are happy to introduce our first ever overseas player, Australian Craig Hookey.
We'll catch up more with Craig and his club Cranbourne in melbourne, over the coming months but here's a few questions to get to know him better!
Name: Craig Hookey
Place of birth : Melbourne, Australia
Other Clubs: Cranbourne Cricket Club
Favourite Ground: Adelaide Oval
Favourite Cricketer: Joe Root and Shaun Marsh
Favourite Film: The Longest Yard
Favourite Food: Crumbed Lamb Cutlets (very expensive now days)
Best bat: Magnitude Cricket - Magnitude 9.7 Range
Best Cricket memory: I have two! First being coaching my under 15s team to a premiership. The other team needed 8 runs and we needed 3 wickets with 5 overs to go. We finished off winning the game with a team Hat-trick.
Secondly: Getting a Turf 1 (First XI) cap at Cranbourne CC. A lot of hard work went into getting there so was good for it to pay off.
Best Player played with or against: Ian Daniel. No one will know him but in my debut First XI game we won but the other team made 160 and this bloke made 130 of them in a one day game.
Fun fact: Their are 3 things I absolutely hate.
1- Cushions on couching reason being takes up valuable sitting area.
2- Public Proposals ? keep that stuff romantic and private
3- Personalised/Custom number plates on your car. Seriously grow up.
