New Management Team In Place

With the club having relieved Luke Stone of his duties at the end of last season they are delighted to have appointed two young and upcoming coaches in Josh King and Tom Jeffreys to take over the reigns.

Their primary task is to develop young, local, talent and retain as many players as possible as they come out of junior football, and prepare them for first team football.

Both Josh and Tom are well known to the club, and both work with a local coaching company, so have good local contacts.

Josh had this to say following the appointment:

“I am very excited to be taking this role on with a very close friend of mine. Between us, TJ and I have amassed roughly 12 years of coaching experience within youth football, along with experience working alongside first team management here at Wantage Town FC.

The club is at the beginning of a new journey, with leadership changes from top to bottom and this is a project that I am very excited to be a part of. After speaking with numerous people around the club the scope for success at this club is massive and something which appeals to me greatly.

Some of my best footballing memories and friendships have been made here at Wantage Town and I look forward to the foreseeable future here as joint manager of Wantage Town Development.”
