Letchworth Garden City Eagles come to the Park on Tuesday, September 3rd for a 7.45pm kick off.

This will be our first match in the Charity Shield since 1986 when Steve Archer scored the only goal of that season's final against Pirton.

It will also be our first ever match against the Eagles and our first against a side from Letchworth since the demise of the old Letchworth Garden City FC. That was a 2-1 defeat at Wodson Park in 1997's East Anglian Cup first round. We will hope to do better this time round.

Eagles were champions of the Herts County League last season with 24 wins in 26 games. However, they have not moved up to the Spartan South Midlands League and remain in the county league. They start the defence of their title on Wednesday, August 21st away to Cockfosters Reserves.
