Despite their 2-1 defeat the Under-18s remain top of their division in the Eastern Junior Alliance though Saints have a game in hand on them. 2-0 down at half time the Blues couldn't complete a come back and suffered only their second defeat in all matches.
Elsewhere goals were at a premium in all but one of the other games with the Under-16s, 14s and 13s failing to score though at least the Under-13s took a point home from St Margaretsbury.
The exception was the Under-15s whose 5-1 home success over Bishop's Stortford Community FC kept them in third place in the table. The coming week sees them at home again when they entertain Stanway Rovers in the mid-week cup on Wednesday.
The Under-18s are also in mid-week cup action with Harlow coming to the Park on Friday evening.
There's almost a full programme of league games next Sunday with the Under-18s at home to Bishop's Stortford, the Under-16s entertaining Letchworth Garden City Eagles, the Under-15s at home to Cheshunt and the Under14s travelling to Codicote.
