Two wins out of two games put Ware at number two in the table. But sin bins?

Report thanks to Alan Rookard.

Ware’s first away game of this campaign at Bury Town produced a good, solid performance from every player involved and an excellent team display.

There was a fairly even start to the game with Ware looking stretched at times as Bury played an attacking formation. Despite several waves of attack Ware’s defenders Hayden, Campbell and Daniels always looked solid.

After absorbing a fair bit of pressure Ware had a free kick on the right which after a good delivery from Archie Wolf was headed in well by Alfie Campbell.

Ware began to get more in to the game and from a corner on the half hour, again another good delivery from Archie Wolf, Harrison Rookard rose at the far post to head in Ware’s second.

The second half saw a change of formation from Bury which seemed to give less threat to the Ware defence. The game was very even without too many chances with Ware consolidating and cancelling out any threats.

All was looking comfortable with more goals likely from Ware in the last 10 minutes from time Ware had 2 players sin binned* within 2 minutes of each other which really gave the upper hand to Bury. Ware had to change to a 3-5-0 formation to hold their lead. With five minutes to go Bury were awarded a disputed penalty when a forward went down in the area. However a brilliant save from Ethan Gannon to his left ensured that the game finished 2-0 to Ware.

Ware: Ethan Gannon, Archie Wolf, Reece Crowter, Alf Campbell, Tom Hayden, Ethan Daniels, Tye Dlavlis, Edirin Eghwrudje, Harrison Rookard, Nathan Linton, Tom Mulqueen. Subs: Ethan Rookard, Geggs Awoyemi, El Tariq Macauley, Dean Harding

* Sin bins or temporary dismissals for ten minutes have been introduced by the FA for all games up to Step 5. The club is investigating why the rule was applied in this game. In any event Geggs Awoyemi has become the first Ware player to be sin binned.
