Ware gave a first start to 16-year-old Bailey Eden in this game and inevitably fielded others in need of game time whilst some were rested. Three substitutions were made at half time including Hasan Seyhan who thus made his debut. Also playing their first games were front man Jack Vasey and defender Matt Hermes.
The unfamiliar line up may explain why Blues were two down within minutes of the game starting when first Bustamante and then Tigwell punished the home defence. However, the real flow of goals came after the break when Rene Howe pulled a goal back on 47 minutes and then Sam Chaney equalised from the penalty spot seven minutes later.
The game seemed to have been turned on its head midway through the half when Liam Dulson gave Ware the lead but Royston struck back ten minutes later with Tigwell getting his second goal.
Play swung back to the visitors favour with late goals from Keely and Harness before an even later consolation for Ware as Howe scored his second.
