I have been asked if Hadley FC is inside the ULEZ. The answer is technically “yes” yet strangely Brickfield Lane leads off Barnet Road which appears to be not subject to ULEZ and effectively isolates a whole section of the ULEZ area from the rest of London. So you can presumably drive along Barnet Road and hope that there are no (working) cameras at the entrance to the very short Brickfield Lane. All very quirky and nothing like the straightforward answer I was expecting. The ULEZ map is here if you want to check further. Good Luck.

Now for the match which pits us against Hadley in a competitive match for just the fifth time. Two Senior Cup defeats don’t augur well for this cup encounter but on the other hand they failed to beat us in last season’s two league games.

Also in our favour is the fact that there has yet to be a home win in the latest three matches. That said, some may argue that February 2022’s cup defeat, although played at Wodson Park, was technically a home win, Hadley having waived their right to stage the match.

It’s early days in the league but even so Hadley sit rock bottom of the table without a point after three games. They exited the FA Cup this week in at 3-2 replay defeat to Step 5 Steyning Town Community. It’s hard to think that they won’t recover from this slow beginning to the season and maybe this Saturday is the day they’ll be aiming to turn the corner.
