The three meetings between us last season went our way albeit one was only thanks to a penalty shoot-out. We’ll be hoping to continue that run against a team that once again features as one of the favourites for promotion.
Following Tuesday’s results the ODs are ten points behind us but with two games in hand so a victory in this one will represent a good step towards closing that gap, potentially to just one point.
If you’re interested in comparisons their game at Didcot resulted in 3-2 defeat ten days after our 3-0 success away to the Railwaymen. The only other comparison possible comes from the FA Trophy in which Dunstable were successful at Witham who had knocked us out of the competition in the previous round. It looks like it’s going to be close.
Ware have a one hundred percent away record in the league although that only covers three of our eight matches so far whilst the ODs dropped points in a draw in one of their three home games. That was of course the 4-4 goal fest with Hertford. Can we do better than our neighbours up the valley and get all three points for the sixth game running? A big ask but one way or another it should make it a game not to miss.
