What can I say about this one? It’s second versus top which, with a third of the season already over, is enough to tell you that this is a significant fixture. A win for the visitors would put them well clear of their nearest opposition whilst a win for Ware would see them closing the gap between them and The Comrades with more than half the season still to play.

Coming into this game Berkhamsted have picked up 76% of the league points so far available to them away from home. They have won all of their last four away games scoring 12 goals and conceding two.

Ware have taken 71% of the points available in their home games this season. We won our last home game 3-0 against Aylesbury but our previous game at Wodson Park saw us go down to Cirencester after holding a 2-0 lead.

We twice held a two-goal advantage over The Comrades in last season’s corresponding fixture but had to settle for a draw. At the start of this season we lost 1-0 at Berkhamsted in the FA Cup, their first victory over us in the five meetings so far. We played a large chunk of that game with just ten men after Dan Rumens was sent off.

Dan was still on the injury list last Saturday along with Richard Bryan and Renée Howe. It is not clear at the time of writing who, if any, of those will be available for this game.
