We won the home match against Kidlington by a comfortable looking 3-0 back in October but we did even better in last season’s home game (5-1) yet still came unstuck in the away fixture. That was a 2-2 draw as we struggled to find any rhythm to our play.
We have to be at our best at Kidlington who have won their last two games. We need to get back to form following that 4-1 home defeat to Highworth. Incidentally after that win Highworth lost their next game at home to Kidlington.
With Berkhamsted seemingly immune to hitting a bad patch it’s beginning to look as though we will be aiming for the play-offs again this season. With games in hand second place could be ours but there’s a long way to go. We need to be picking up points consistently and can’t afford to relax.
This game is likely to see Joe Dearman given his league debut following his move from Welwyn Garden City whilst an even more recent signing, Rimmel Daniel, could also be in the squad. One player we will not see is James Ewington who after five appearances and two goals has decided to try his luck with Tilbury. We wish him the best and note that he scored five minutes into his debut game last weekend.
