For a team that we have only played three times, North Leigh seem to loom large in the memory. Of course the reason is that play-off defeat they handed to us 16 months ago. A game of six goals, four of which came in the last five minutes plus added time, was in stark contrast to the regular league games which were both goalless. We’ll be hoping for goals this weekend but not at the expense of three points.

North Leigh started the season with that crazy game at home to Barton Rovers who were 3-0 down before scoring four goals in the last twenty minutes. North Leigh’s response was a 4-2 win at AFC Dunstable so they’re not short of goal scoring ability.

Lance Williams and Daniel West have each scored three of those seven league goals so would appear to be the men to watch. However, Lynton Goss is not to be overlooked, he scored his second of the season in last Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Bishop’s Cleeve in the FA Cup.

Hopefully the flu symptoms which caused Dan Rumens early withdrawal from our own FA Cup game last week will have disappeared and Paul can choose his side from the full squad. You can read his thoughts in the programme which, as always, is on sale at the gate for £1.50.
