Next up - Heybridge Swifts home on Tuesday, 15th November at Wodson Park, SG12 0UQ, Ryman Isthmian League Division One (North). Kick off 7.45pm.

This will be a game of milestones the celebration of which may help erase the memory of Saturday's defeat in the FA Trophy. For the club it will be the 5,000th recorded first team game covering all league, cup and friendly encounters since its founding in 1892 whilst for one player, if he is selected, it will be a smaller number but a milestone none the less. Alaa Oujdi played his 99th game for Ware against Wingate & Finchley so is about to make his century of appearances for the club.

The match is therefore an occasion to celebrate but Heybridge will be hoping to spoil the party as they seek to garner points in a bid to escape the relegation zone where they currently sit one off the bottom of the table. However, their 0-0 draw at AFC Hornchurch on Saturday suggests that they have the ability to throw a damp cloth over the celebratory fire we would like to light. They have the ability to do more than that perhaps as they have recorded two particularly excellent away wins this season; 4-1 at Royston in the FA Cup and 5-0 at Great Wakering Rovers in the league.

Meanwhile we will be wondering if Jack Mace and Mekhi McLeod (both missing on Saturday) will be available whilst a question mark hangs over Brian Haule who left the field with an injury at the weekend.
