We have beaten Brentwood twice already this season with a 2-0 win at home in the league and a 2-1 success away in the league cup but I'm not going to mention that again as I don't want to encourage complacency. There certainly isn't any reason to be over confident as Brentwood look dangerous opponents.

After a run of five defeats they have gone four games unbeaten and scored a victory over play-off chasing Thurrock and an away draw with potential champions Brightlingsea. Most recently their midweek game at home to Wroxham was postponed denying them the chance to pull out of the relegation zone where they sit third from bottom one place behind next Tuesday's opponents Waltham Abbey.

Ware are three places higher than Brentwood at 19th in the table but I noticed a couple of days ago that if the table was based on goal difference we would be seven places higher at 12th equal, if it was based on goals scored we would also be 12th equal and if it was based on goals conceded we would be, you guessed it, 12th equal. Some people spend their retirement travelling the world or penning that novel they had always intended to write but clearly I have found better things to do with my time.

Whatever changes Anwar may or may not make to his side after Tuesday's disappointment in the Herts Senior Cup one player will be missing for certain. Josh Oyibo starts a three match suspension on Saturday following his double yellow in last week's win over Aveley.
