Next up - Bowers & Pitsea home on Tuesday, 24th October at Wodson Park, Wadesmill Road, SG12 0UQ; Bostik Isthmian League North, kick off 7.45pm.

Whilst we have only played one away game against Bowers this will be their fourth visit to Ware and over a long enough period for them to have played at our old Buryfield ground. The first two visits were in the FA Vase and both resulted in home wins but last season's two league meetings (by which time Pitsea had been added to our opponent's name) saw us beaten home and away.

That was Bowers first season at Step 4 and it was a successful one with them finishing one place outside the play-offs. This season they've been at it again and currently lie fifth in the table albeit that they have played more games (14) than most in the division. Last week's midweek match saw them lose 1-0 at Grays as the home side consolidated their rveival after a good win at Ware three days earlier but got back to business with a 2-0 home win over Aveley on Saturday.

At this time it is impossible to say to what extent Ware's line up will be affected by injuries but it is unlikely that many of the six missing on Saturday will be fit in time for this game suggesting that most of those who secured a point at Maldon on Saturday will be given another chance.
