Back in October Ware were going very nicely thank you with five wins from nine league games and a run in the FA Cup. Grays on the other hand were struggling and came to Wodson Park with Ware clear favourites though by all accounts the visitors had not had the best of luck in their previous results.

After having marginally the better of things in the opening period of the game Grays might have gone behind except that Junior Appiah's close range shot hit their post rather than the back of the net.

A goal then might have cemented another feeling in the visitors that things were not going their way but instead, within a minute, Grays had taken the lead when Prince Madu screwed a clearance into his own net. After that Ware fell apart and Grays romped to a 5-0 win. It was the beginning of a very poor period for the Blues and the start of a Grays revival which now finds them harbouring an outside chance of making the play-offs.

Saturday's fixture looks like something of a reverse of that game with Ware, albeit at least temporarily clear of relegation worries, still needing to pick up points and the home side lying comfortably in 10th place with a balance of 13 wins and defeats from 38 games.

Having won at this ground a fortnight earlier Ware should feel confident. On that occasion they faced former keeper Rhys Madden, this time they face former striker Kieran Bishop who scored 66 goals for the Blues in two and a half seasons from 2014 to the end of 2015/6.
