Next up - Chipstead
Saturday, 1st December at Wodson Park SG12 0UQ;
Bostik Isthmian League Div. 1 (South Central), kick off 3pm.
Admission - Adults £10, Concessions £5, under-14s free with paying adult.
Those who didn't or couldn't get to last week's match will probably be hoping to catch up and see a similar performance this Saturday. The reality is that Chipstead are going to be a completely different proposition to our previous opponents.
That said, the Surrey club haven't won in over a month (seven games). Their latest match saw them lose 3-0 at AFC Hornchurch in the Velocity Trophy but I don't think too much can be read into the early rounds of the league cup. Also in that seven game run they took in-form Bedford Town to a replay in the FA trophy.
Ware will be looking for their fourth unbeaten game on the trot but Chipstead will be asking different questions to those posed by FC Romania and they also have history on their side. Our only previous encounter saw them win 1-0 at Wodson Park in a 2011 FA Trophy game.
Will we continue last weekend's form? There's only one way to find out. Kick off is 3pm
The programme for this game (£1.50 on the gate) includes the fixtures, results and tables for all our age teams, Matt Walker's continuing series on his football tour of Europe, Ian Bush's latest match photos and Traveller's Tales. Aiden's Astroturf article celebrates last week's win and Brandon's hat trick then turns to the need to persevere in support for managers.
Don't forget that on Sunday we have two youth games at the Park where the Under-13s take on Aveley in a league game . It's top versus second from bottom at 12.30. Meanwhile the Under-18s match with Coggeshall Town has been reversed to Wodson Park at 3pm so ignore what Saturday's match programme says as that had gone to print before the reversal was announced. Coincidentally that's another top versus second from bottom game. As always admission is free and there's food, drink and TV in the clubroom.
