Blues back to winning ways with ultimately comfortable performance.

It took a while but Ware finally imprinted themselves on this game against the division's bottom club. Egham had earlier got to grips with a Ware team featuring a new keeper in Calum Kitscha and Williams Danquah making his first start for the club at left back.

After a brief opening spell in which Ware looked to be moving the ball around well the home side started to come into things. They hustled and harried the visitors and knocked them out of their rhythm whilst long balls out of defence were fed on by a some fast and skilful forwards.

On the quarter hour one Egham attack saw Louis Rose slip to the ground opening up the chance for a cross but it was squandered as the ball was drilled wide before, at the other end, Jack Daveney had a shot just over the bar.

Egham kept pushing however and almost went ahead when Brandon McCarthy burst through with just Kitscha to beat. The keeper came out to narrow the angle and will argue that he did just enough as McCarthy's shot smacked against the bar.

Having weathered this storm Ware slowly pulled themselves back into contention and started to make their own openings. Charlie Yexley's long throw found Albert Adu whose back header was cleared from under the bar before Adu was denied twice in quick succession as the home side scrambled the ball away.

Adu, the hardest working man on the pitch, also had two headers just wide as Ware searched for the opening goal. Jack Wingate in the Egham goal then had to deal with a low shot from Brandon Adams, saving at the foot of his post.

Adu was then thwarted by another scrambled clearance but the resulting throw in from the left found its way across the Egham six yard box. This time Adams was not to be denied though Wingate made a valiant attempt, blocking his first shot before the Ware man hammered the rebound home from close range.

Egham were always in with a chance but the second half saw Ware having the better of things and an early Dave Cowley cross had Ben Hart volleying narrowly over the intersection of bar and post. Three minutes later Hart tried again with a low shot from the edge of the area bringing a good save out of Wingate.

A goal eventually came just before the hour when Adams chased a through ball and just reached it before Wingate, who had come out of his goal, to stab into the net.

There were a number of further chances for the visitors before they made it three with a quarter of an hour to go. That man, Adu was involved when he had the ball in the centre of the pitch about ten metres outside the Egham area. He was clearly being held, a defender having both arms round one of his but the Ware midfielder was still able to lay the ball off to Cowley on the left. The number eleven drove forward before shooting low and beyond Wingate to seal the points for Ware.

What can Ware make of this win? Kitscha looked confident, knowing when to come out of his goal; when to clear his lines without hesitation; and saving well twice in quick succession at the feet of opponents during Egham's period of ascendancy.

Meanwhile Williams Danquah made the most of his first start, looking confident with both feet at left back whilst Tom Bruno's appearance from the substitutes' bench suggested that he too can become a successful part of this team.

Ware: Calum Kitscha, Charlie Yexley, Williams Danquah, Kardan Campbell, Louis Rose, Gareth Madden (Tom Bruno 58mins), Ben Hart (Jordon Watson 68mins), Jack Daveney (Alaa Oujdi 76mins), Brandon Adams, Albert Adu, Dave Cowley. Unused subs: Anthony Page, Frazer John.
