Next up - Bracknell Town away on Saturday, 30th November at Larges Lane, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 9AN; BetVictor Isthmian League Div 1 (South Central); kick off 3pm.

When the midweek game at Marlow was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch Ware lost the chance to build on last Saturday's good performance. Only a plague of frogs or something equally unlikely will prevent this game from going ahead as Bracknell possess an artificial surface.

They also possess a good record in the league where they lie eighth with 21 points from 13 games. Last season they were beaten by Cheshunt in the play off final and will be looking to pull themselves back into contention for a top five finish.

There are a couple of other top level encounters on Saturday with seventh placed Westfield at third placed Uxbridge and leaders Hanwell (now looking for their first win in four games) at Chertsey (5th).

So it's a weekend of six-pointer games for a number of the promotion and play-off chasers and thus not one when you want to lose. In those circumstances it's not a good moment to point out that we have lost all of our seven previous visits to Bracknell. We looked to have broken the hoodoo last season when we took a 2-0 lead but a second half come back culminating in a last minute winner maintained the disappointing sequence.

The midweek lay off will hopefully have improved Dan Rumens recovery from his back injury. Dan appears to be our only injury concern.
