Can this game live up to the excitement of Tuesday's trip to Harlow? In all honesty that would be unlikely even if everything was the same but amongst other things different opponents and a grass playing surface are the most obviously changed circumstances.
Ashford are currently second from bottom in the table and most of the stand-out features of their league season do not read well. They have just three wins to their name though one of those was away to Hanwell Town; they have failed to score in ten of their 24 games, the worst record in the division; and they have only kept a clean sheet twice.
But it's that win at Hanwell plus a clear 3-0 defeat of South Park in their most recent home game that should give us cause to think.
We won the home game 6-0 in December, it was the last in our run of six-goal games. Andre McCollin made his debut from the bench in that match but it was Josh Williams and Harry Watkins who weighed in with two goals each, topped up by Liam Hope and Louis Rose. We can expect Louis to be available on Saturday after having to drop out of the Harlow game with illness shortly before kick off.
