Match Preview

It was not the most encouraging day weather wise as I started to think about this preview. However the weather forecast does suggest a dry Friday and Saturday but it could be touch and go with this game on a pitch that is vulnerable to prolonged rain.

We drew the home fixture and were perhaps lucky to do so there's no need for any comments along the lines of "on paper we should win but .....". This is a match that could very well go the way of the home side who have not lost in four games and only conceded two goals in that run.

By comparison Ware have remained unbeaten in eight games but have struggled in their recent matches perhaps giving Hertford a sense that they may be vulnerable. Add in the atmosphere of a local derby and the home side will fancy their chances, especially if they can strike early.

Ware will be without Tom Bruno who is suspended. If the game is postponed that suspension will carry over to next week's home game with Hanwell so fingers will be crossed that it goes ahead.

Hertford are in a similar situation with player/manager Ben Herd also suspended.
