This match was originally scheduled for last Tuesday but the Scholars' FA Cup replay against Hampton & Richmond knocked that on the head. After a good draw in Middlesex their home advantage counted for nothing in the replay and Potters Bar lost 3-0. Their visit to Bowers & Pitsea on Saturday was not any better and after twice taking the lead they lost 4-2.

Despite that defeat they sit two places and one point above us in the league table. How relevant that fact will prove is hard to tell as both managers may well take the chance to bring in squad members. Potters Bar are managed by Steve Ringrose who held the same position at Ware from 1997 to 2000.

This will be the second meeting of the clubs in the Isthmian League Cup, the first being in the second round of 2nd October 2011 when Ryan Mattos scored the only goal of the game to take us to the third round and a 5-1 (Aime Blessing) defeat at Canvey Island.
