Buildbase FA Trophy, second qualifying round; kick off 3pm.
Admission: £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £1 for U18.
Our two sides have only met once before, back in 2007 but in the same competition. Back then we won a preliminary round match by 2-0 in front of 126 paying customers. Our goals came from Paul Burton and Michael Bardle who is now assistant manager.
Will Michael remember anything of his goal or the day itself to colour his advice to this seasons Blues? Maybe not.
The Hillians play in the Isthmian South East division and at this very early stage of the season occupy 12th place with one win and a draw from five games. Like us they didn’t make it past the 1st qualifying round of the FA Cup, losing 3-1 at Cray Valley PM. Their best run in the Trophy came in 2014/5 when the reached the second round proper before going out by 2-1 at home to Dartford.
Last Saturday they lost 1-0 at Whitstable who we knocked out of the FA Trophy last year in a closely fought tie that went to a replay and extra time. There will be no replay this year however with the outcome being decided on penalties if it is all square at 90 minutes.
