Count down match number 4891 sees our first Sunday league game in twelve years.

With Bromley at home to Leiston in the FA Trophy this Saturday their tenants Cray Wanderers have been forced to look for another date to stage the league game against Ware. So it was Sunday or take our chances in the rush hour traffic with a midweek game.

Our last league game on a Sunday was on 13th October 2002 when we played away to Wokingham Town. Again ground sharing was the cause with Wokingham then playing at Flackwell Heath who needed the pitch on the preceding Saturday. We won that game 2-1 with goals from Lewis Field and Billy Wingrove and will hope to follow suit at Hayes Lane.

Our only other away game with Cray was back on 18th September 1971 when we lost an FA Cup 1st qualifying round game by 3-0 at their old Grassmeade ground.

We made amends in this season's home league game back in September with a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Bafode Carvalho, Albert Adu, Lee White and a penalty from Murat Karagul. All that after conceding a second minute penalty ourselves.
