MONEY MAN UPDATE
The 2019 season has started off with a bang at 29 registered members paying towards much needed
subs. We have been able to maintain our outgoings at the start of the year which is always difficult
from the funds received through subs, winter nets and our quiz night.
During the off season we have been able to upgrade both of the change room showers and upgrade
the ladies with the assistance of an ECB grant we successfully applied for in 2018. We have also
been able to offer our help to the Groundsman with repainting the outside of the pavilion and this
was only the start.
Efforts by Steve Lerigo to redo the back wall in the pavilion and other members (Risso, Hugh, Jamie,
Matt, Simon, Tom just to name a few) contributing valuable hours to painting and general cleaning
in and around the pavilion have also been a welcome upgrade for us and saved the club money in
2019.
This year through the All Stars program we have again been successful in obtaining an ECB grant and
get the status of a “World Cup Club” which will allow us to upgrade and replace some of our
catering equipment in the coming weeks leading up to the start of the tournament. This program is
in great hands at our club run by Andy Milton.
A special Thank you to our groundsman for working so hard over the winter to get the ground we
love ready for 2019.
In 2019 we have had two draws so far for the Club 100 with the winners being Julian & Devon. Get
involved today at just £1 per ticket per month for a chance to win £25. Two super draws will take
place this year at the annual camp over & BBQ and end of season day. Speak to a committee
member for more info.
Events to look forward to in coming weeks & months are the World Cup opening game on the 30th
May and the Camp over and BBQ on the 20th July. Join in and support your club.
