Games on despite the rain

Bowling first Khan and Zee took early wickets, Khan finishing with 3-15 and Zee 2-9. Tom Wales bowled 6 good overs for 9 runs and was unlucky to only take one wicket before Fred mopped up the tail effectively, finishing with 4-14. Stevenage were all out for 56. In reply the new opening partnership of Joel and Imran got off to a good start before Joel was run out by a direct hit from the deep for 9. Rob Duke hit a nice 6 before edging behind and Darren Patel hit the winning runs, with Imran finishing 25 not out alongside him.

The first team lost a thriller against Southgate Adelaide. Thanks to Julian for getting the ground ready. Match was reduced to 30 overs and we got off to a decent start with Will and Matt bashing it around but two wickets in one over slowed the runs and it was left to mainly Kev, Hugh and Scott to get us to 140 on the soggy wicket. Kev was great opening the bowling again and Ware kept the pressure on both in the field with two run outs and solid bowling. Ben bowling a great spell along with Scott and Phil. Couple of dropped catches didn't help but the oppo put on 10 for the last wicket to see them home with 3 balls left.

After it was Devon and Sam providing the entertainment with bbq, drinks (including the funnel), music and games including a highly entertaining dizzy penalties. It all carried on until the early hours. The final all stars session of the season on Sunday morning with a proper good scrub up and trip to the recycling centre. Hopefully a good few quid raised.
