Warlingham "B" 2 Reigate Priory "A" 1

On a damp windy day Warlingham “B” turned in a very strong performance. It was a frustrating first half where Wars were dominant but couldn’t create an opening for a goal. Reigate created a couple of opportunities where Keith Williams did enough to prevent them scoring.

The second half continued in the same vein until against the run of play Reigate scored. With 20 minutes to go Wars Management duo, Mick Rolfe and Tim Rolfe brought on Dersil Goktas and Wayne Marques to try and change our approach. After 5 minutes Dersil got us back into the game lobbing over the Reigate keepers head, it may have taken a slight deflection!

With 10 minutes to go Dave Cocksedge made a late challenge defending his goal and was booked, the tackle caused a little unrest in the Reigate camp but it was all a big overreaction on their part. 2 Minutes later Dave went up the other end of the pitch and blasted home a magnificent winner, which he took great delight in celebrating in front of the gentleman who was barracking him earlier.

It finished 2-1 and was a good victory for the mighty 4’s who put in a very good team performance.
