Today’s match was going to require us to preform well and we would secure the W. Leicester are an aggressive side, but we know we’ve beaten them before and would do again at our level. We managed to complete 2 tiktoks before the match, I (Erin) was told multiple times of how I have no coordination when dancing, mucking up the takes even though Antonia was the real disaster behind me. We warmed up well and were ready to go, the starting line up from the back was Antonia, Sesh, Ritson, Erin F, Grace, Ella, Lydia, with Erin M on the bench. We started turning over their centre passes however they were resilient and better than we remembered. We finished the quarter up at 10-9.

2nd quarter we went in with energy and switched Ritson for Murphy, again Leicester were playing well but we kept on top. Their GK and GD were giving Lydia and Ella a tough time, aggressive on the rebounds and close with obstruction, but our duo performed well, and shots were flying in. Grace was making her signature drives hitting the D reliably, we were made to play it round in attack but did with patience. Sesh and Antonia were playing great in defence, with Murphy bringing the ball up well to attack. We ended the quarter 24-18!

The 3rd quarter we pushed the lead and got to up by ten, Leicester had a few comebacks where they got close, but we were able to keep calm and keep the lead. Everyone put in 100% effort and we were still being stretched but managed to play some great netball to increase our score. Antonia got some clever interceptions and we were getting the turnovers straight in. We ended our best quarter yet 34-26.

Ritson was back on for the fourth quarter, we knew we had the win and were able to continue increasing our lead. Their defence were still so close but thanks to great shooting stats we were securing the win. Ritson reliable as ever bringing it up through the centre court and helping on the reset. We won the match 46-35!!
