Waverley won the toss and elected to bat first in a 40 over game. James Wright and Marcus Carmichael started brightly, Carmichael hitting 16 in the first two overs before falling to A Flemming. Two quick wickets followed, before bowling changes allowed Waverley to build a total with debutant Tom Heighes making 23 and Adrian Day 30 not out in total of 193, with Wright ending on 92. Nine different bowlers were used by Horsley with M Stewart picking up 2 wickets. In reply, Horsley openers G Aluvihare and D Collett scored freely, though Day and
Connor MacGregor, another debutant, bowled well. MacGregor picked up the wicket of Aluvihare through a fine catch by Heighes, but A Flemming continued the attack, as did T Fleming and R Burton. Collett retired on 75 and Horsley eased home with 2.3 overs to spare.
