Waverley won the toss and elected to bat first in a 40 over game. James Wright started very aggressively, as he and Chris Beanland put on 136 for the first wicket, before Wright finally fell to Josh Driver for 82 after a number of chances were put down. Simon Brewer hit a quick fire 29, bringing Russell Golding to the crease and, with his measured stroke play, Beanland bought up his maiden century off the final ball of the innings. Golding ended up with 34 not out. Rudgwick openers Dominic Page and Conrad Winter started brightly before Toby Elborough
removed Winter for the first of his three wickets. John Page then continued the chase with 37 and Malcolm Crabbe struck a fine 60 before Elborough struck again. A direct run out from Golding sent Driver back to the pavilion & Waverley were able to stem the flow of runs to win.
