Frensham hosted Waverley at Hollowdene on Sunday on a hard wicket and lightning fast outfield. In the field the visitors soon had their first wicket with Lyford being bowled by Elborough. Clayton–Jones held the side together and with stands of 38 with Jeggo and then 33 with Frost although P Brewer and Golding were bowling well. The tail wagged a little with Biff and Christian both into double figures enabling the Frensham innings to close on 163.
After tea Bartosh-Short took 12 off the first over and Beanland was out in the second then Bartosh Short was soon caught in the deep. A steady repair job was required and S Brewer and Golding were up to the task with a partnership of 61. Brewer holed out and it was left to Golding and Heighes to see their side home, Heighes ending the game with a six.
