Eversley started strongly until a mix up caused Mannings’ run out. Martin (34) then joined Surrell and this pair put on 40 before day caught Surrell at mid-on. A bowling change was needed where Litwin and P Brewer stopped the run flow with just 24 runs in 16 overs and dismissed the middle order. The tail wagged and young Hugo South scored 30 valuable runs with Day and Elborough in the wickets.
Waverley lost an early wicket to Naru bringing Golding to the crease, whose dominating partnerships of 38 with Coldwell and 64 with Day were the backbone to the Waverley innings. Lemonfides bowled well but although Eversley tried 8 bowlers it was not enough to stop the visitors overtaking the home side total with 9 overs to spare.
