As our 2014/15 season has now drawn to a close, WD look forward to an eventful summer full of socialising activities, fundraisers and charity events.
Our first confirmed event is an exciting Supporters Appreciation Day on the 30th May which is the same day as the Rabo Pro 12 Final. The event will be by invite only, to supporters and sponsors, old and new, who have stuck by us through the thick and thin. The day will involve a presentation of what’s going on, a buffet and of course, the Pro12 Final shown LIVE!
Our second event is our annual Summer Touch Rugby Tournament, commencing on the 1st Thursday of June and running for 4 weeks. After last year’s success, the tournament will follow along the same format as last year with a BBQ to finish off the evening. The tournament will be open to Ladies and Gents and will focus mainly on enjoyment and participation.
Thirdly, we are also going to run a Father/Son (brother / cousin /uncle / workmate ) Golf Day on the 20th June which is the day before Father’s Day. The day will involve 18 holes at Townhead, followed by food and drinks back at the rugby club. Spaces for this will be limited and need to be booked soon!! Please contact Greig or Iain ASAP to get your name down for this event!
Our Fourth and final event (at the moment), and by no means least, is our HUGE Music and Beer Festival; WD on the PITCH! This will be held on the 1st August and will be a great day out for all the family young and old, updates will follow on our dedicated website wdonthepitch.co.uk and facebook.
