Summary Guidance for Outdoor HockeyatStep 4 & 5

The following is a summary of the full guidancewhich is available later in this document:

At home

o Sign a ParticipationAgreementoBring hand sanitiser
o Change intoyour playing kitoSelf-assess for Covid symptoms-if you have symptoms follow NHS & PHE guidance for treating symptoms. Stay away from hockey until you have observed appropriate isolation

Outside of play

o Follow the government travel advice
o Check in with your organiser for Test and Trace purposes
oFollow social distancingguidelinesand stick to maximum legal gathering limits
o Clean your hands during breaks
o Follow the facility rules when accessing indoor spaces

During play

o Respect your opposition and umpires
o Take penalty cornersand Free-hits around the D promptly
o Touch the ball with your stick/GK equipment and not your hands
o Use your own protective equipment or disinfect before use (e.g. facemasks)
o Socially distance when play stops
o Avoid shouting excessively or spitting
o No handshakes with other players or close contact during goal celebrations
o No team huddles for team talks or around penalty corners
o Avoid running training exercises that involve overly repetitive close contact between players

After play

o Clean your kit or leave for 72 hours
o If you display any symptoms of Covid-19 after playing hockey, follow NHS and PHE guidance for treating symptomsand contact your hockey provider’s Covid-19 Officer.
