1st XI

Played away at Bloxwich in an interesting game but although it seemed to be end to end Wednesbury were always in front with a 60 / 40 possession In their favour.
Wednesbury did win this game 0 v 3 with an impressive opener from Kuvan with a flick across the D into the roof of the goal. Two more goals came from Satnam although his first goal was sloppy it still counted his second however was much better.
Bloxwich did have the ball in the back of the net but after consultation between the umpires the goal was disallowed
Great result lads and the best defending I have seen from the team so far. Keep it up boys

2nd XI

Today the 2nds were away v Lichfield (5th) and they were winning the game up to 4 mins from the end when Lichfield scored two goals leaving the result as 3 v 3. Goal scorer’s were Luke and Ryan Mckenzie and Ben Plant.

Bad luck lads but it is a point away from home. Keep your heads up lads you are due a good win.

3rd XI

Wednesbury 3rd team were at home against City of Birmingham (2nds).
The City team were the hardest team so far to break down and they had a good cross section in their player age. Wednesbury still with just 4 adults and the rest of the squad U18 played a good hard game that could have gone either way. City were the better team in the first half but the second half saw a noticeable difference in confidence and composseur. They began to play the ball around and didn’t make as many mistakes as they did on the ball in the first half. Vast improvement and when Shiv Sharma linked with Nathan Jones the result was a superb ball from Jones cutting through the City defence finding Sarwar at the back post. Sarwar carefully took the pass with his back to goal and sensing the keeper on him turned and put the ball at the back post beating the keeper who may I add played well.
Congratulations Wednesbury as the ball went in the back of the net on 69 minutes.
Thanks to City who were a good team and perhaps a draw would have been fair as there was little to divide the teams.

Badgers played away today at West Bromwich. An old rivalry game always played to win without exception and Wednesbury did it again.
A great game I am told with goals galore resulting in an impressive 0 v 7 win for Wednesbury. Goals came from Jason Palmer (2), Gagandeep, Veerpal, Luke Chivers, Luke Whitehouse a nd Wojtech.
Well done lads keep it up.
