Wednesbury 2nds were away yesterday against Bloxwich (3rds)
The game was hard fought but Wednesbury got the win 1 v 2 both goals scored from set pieces. Scott Craddock scored both goals from penalty corners.

3rd XI

We played Old Wulf’s (5th) yesterday and again didn’t play as well as early in this seasons campaign. However, after putting in a lot of effort in the first half with no goals but lots of missed chances we did find the net in the last minute of the half when Dan Dunning scored. 12 mins into the second half Dunning found the back of the net again making the score 2 v 0 and Grant Jones put the finishing touch to the game when he smacked one into the back boards with 7 mins to go.
3 v 0 was a good result but for their goal keeper it would have been considerably more. Old Wulf’s came close a couple of times but good defence and good goal keeping secured the game.

Badgers

Badgers played away against Streetly and after a very hard game lost 6 v 5 .The game was a hard game and Streetly had a number of senior badgers players in the team. I am informed that there was one player in particular who was very adept at drag flicking on short corners.
