Have you ever been past Synder Meadow on a Saturday morning and wondered what the commotion is? The noise is from over hundred local boys & girls taking part in training or organised league and friendly football matches as part of Welford Junior Football Club, and in all probability from their parents and supporters gently encouraging them!

WJFC are an FA Chartered club and have representative teams for most age groups from under sevens all the way through to under eighteen. All our coaches are FA Level One trained and have all appropriate child protection qualifications. The ethos within the club is on enjoyment and engagement, irrespective of ability and depending on their age children take part in Saturday or mid-week training and FA organised matches or friendlies at the weekend, as well as the odd end of season tournament. To keep the club thriving we are reaching out to the community for boys and girls to join the the younger age groups teams (Under 5-7). We would also like to hear from parents, grandparents or anybody with a love of grass roots football who would be interested in supporting the club in anyway.
