We are sad to announce that Past Player, Richard Lubkowski, passed away on Saturday at his home in Malvern Worcestershire. He leaves a widow, two children and six grandchildren.

Richard was from Derby and played for Ilkeston RFU before moving south. He took up a teaching post at the then newly formed Sir Christopher Hatton School, before leaving teaching in the late 1980s to train as a Priest and moved away from the area.

His playing career spanned from the mid 70s to late 1980s and was a regular player in the successful 4th teams of 1980s with team captains Gordon Chambers and Phil (Tank)Underwood.

The funeral is on Tuesday 19th February 11:00 am St Mathia Church, Malvern, Worcestershire.
