Work on Trees at Cut Throat Lane

To the general public and members,

We've been working on improving the health of the trees surrounding the club pitches over the last few years. We've removed old, dying and diseased trees and have started planting new saplings to take their place for future generations which are located by the old tractor trailer. We've planted a hedgerow along the A45 to promote wildlife. We've also raised the crowns on the Holm Oaks along the right side of the field to allow air to move among the trees to help improve their health.

All the branches we removed have been placed along the fence line as a wind break for the hedge saplings. As you'll notice there's log piles in the trees too. These are ours to use at a later date for various projects we've got planned.

We would appreciate it if the kids stayed away from the logs and brash as it could be hazardous.

We've got a lot more still to do up there. There's more trees to remove, plant plus tidy the remaining trees. We hope you've noticed a difference in the overall appearance of the field. It's a long term project that we estimate will take at least 10 years to complete.

If anyone has any questions, please contact Richard or Brendon Leslie and they will be happy to answer any queries.
