Welwyn Ladies travelled down to Barnes RFC for a highly competitive league game on Sunday, with the home team emerging as victors.
The day was particularly memorable for long-term captain, Emma Waddup, who clocked up her 100th league appearance, becoming the first Ladies player to reach this milestone.
Emma was relatively late to the game having started playing in 2014 for the successful U18 Girls team run by Bobby Dawson. She made her senior debut in 2015 and was appointed captain two years later, a position she still holds to this day. In a short presentation at Barnes RFC on Sunday, Chairman praised Emma for her achievement and stressed how she has grown as both a player and a leader over the years.
Julian then presented Emma with a commemorative cap to mark her achievement.
