West Bank opened up with a hard hitting first set that rocked the home team onto it's heals and Jack Krause's first touch saw him scatter the defence on a scorching run. The Bank took immediate advantage which saw Josh Swindley smash his way over.

West Bank were on top but Thatto stole the ball to sneak ahead 6 v 4.

Unfazed, the Bears were soon back into their stride and some nice inter-passing saw Swindley cross for his second. Luke Mullarkey converted.

Again Thatto hit back to leave the home ahead at the half, 12 v 10.

The visitors had been well on top without finding the killer pass but the second half started in fine style when accurate ball movement gave George Charnock his first score when he finished strongly. Mullarkey converted.

Jack Craig started to come into his own when he was put through a gap to draw the last defender and Ellis Maher finished in style. Mullarkey again added the two extra points.

Craig again was pivotal in the next score when he put Maher through a gap. Maher found Krause in support to finish off a spectacular movement. Mullarkey converted.

Another two points from Man of the Match Mullarkey came when he converted the final score. George Charnock finished off a glorious move that saw Mullarkey run around Will Bloomfield to feed Josh Swindley who put Charnock through.

West Bank can thank the starting props of Jay Swindley and David Kelly for laying the foundation of this excellent win.

After a difficult few weeks the Bears can be proud of this dominant performance. The All stars game was cancelled but both teams are in action next week (17th May) with the 2nds at Salford and the 1sts at home to Wigan St.Cuthberts.
