It was definitely a cold one. Goalkeeper Bethell.L covered himself with 36 layers, so much so that a queue of cars had formed in the car park awaiting the changing of their car tyres #MichelinMan. The game started at a high pace with Bergholt once again playing good attacking football. The break through came around the 20 minute mark with a superb cross into the box and a composed back post header from Gareth Gibson. Barnston were able to string a few passes together and get close to the home teams goal a few times before the half time whistle. However, Bergholt's defence held strong and Gibson led the team in at halftime leading by just the 1 goal.
The second half began and Bergholt came out the quickest. Ryan Browns shot ricocheting back of the keeper doubled the scoreline, Browns goal? he would argue...
The Goals then went flooding in.
Blanchett eventually got over his strop and bagged a beautiful hat trick, one of the goals being a delightful lob over the keepers head. " more goals were added my Bethell, J and Townrow.
A great team performance shown by West Bergholt. Next game they face the in form Lawford Lads.
