Chilt suffer their worst defeat in over 15 years against the Crown. Current holders of the Centenary cup WCFC were knocked out in the first round by a very spirited Crown side.
Chilt started badly and you could sense that this was going to be a very difficult tie. Some good quality balls into the box enabled The Crown to go 2-0 up. Chilt pulled one back from an excellent finish from Glenn Whitaker. Straight from the kick off, Gary Weedon pinched the ball of a Crown defender and rounded the goalkeeper to make it 2-2. HT.
The Crown re-took the lead but Gary Weedon converted a penalty to make it 3-3. FT. In extra time The Crown scored an excellent break away goal and then scored again after Chilt switched off from a set piece.
A deserved victory for the hosts and Chilt failed to rise to the challenge.
