Chilt suffered defeat against a solid Holbrook team. Holbrook took the lead after the Chilt defence failed to clear a routine through ball. Chilt equalised almost immediately when Gary Weedon finished coolly when one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Holbrook took the lead when Chilt again failed to clear their lines. Parity was restored when Paul McCafferty was tripped in the box and Charlie Monaghan made no mistake from the spot. Just before half time another Chilt error enabled Holbrook to make it 2-3.
Chilt never got going in the second half and Holbrook were relatively comfortable. They scored their fourth goal when a corner was cleared but a Holbrook player took a shot from the edge of the box. David Williams was disappointed that he didn't keep the effort out and Holbrook eased to victory.
A very disappointing performance from Chilt. Too many errors and not one player performing to their potential. Holbrook deserved their win.
