Chilt moved into the next round of the Malcolm Simmonds Cup with a good performance against a strong Angmering Seniors side.
The game started very evenly with Angmering having a few half chances but the game changed around 30 minutes. Zack Sanderson came on and within five minutes he had scored two goals. The first a close range finish from a Charlie Monaghan free kick, his second a superb long range strike that flew into the top corner. Shortly after, Gary Weedon added a third with a strike from 15 yards. 3-0 HT.
Chilt added a fourth after 60 minutes when Glenn Whitaker (making his first appearance of the season) lobbed the goalkeeper after running onto an excellent through ball. Angmering Seniors got a consolation after 70 minutes and Chilt then added a fifth. The best team goal of the afternoon as Sanderson, Weedon and Clayton linked up and Clayton provided a cool finish. 5-1 HT.
Chilt move into the next round where they will face Lancing United Reserves.
