A game that was a lot closer than the scoreline suggested. An even contest in the first half with Chilt having good possession but not really creating any great chances.
In the second half Chilt played some good balls into the box but there was no-one there to apply the finishing touch. The deadlock was finally broken from a superb free-kick. 1-0 quickly became 2-0 when Lavant dispatched a penalty kick. Chill were now chasing the game and a good move down the right side led to Lavant scoring a third.
Chilt should not feel too downbeat over this defeat. Lavant were a strong team and Chilt played well for long periods of the game.
Josh Daly played very well and provided some good quality on the ball. Dave Bundock worked hard in midfield and had a decent game.
Onto the next game!
