We are delighted to announce that we have been granted planning permission to build a two-bay net and resurface our artificial wicket.

The work is expected to be completed in time for when outdoor practice starts ahead of the new season in April 2022.

This is a fantastic development for the club, and will benefit all our teams, especially our growing junior section.

Our thanks must go to Lee Conroy for the hard work he has put in to help the club secure the funding from the ECB.

Westgate chairman Nigel Parkinson said: "I am delighted at the pending arrivals of the new two-bay nets and artificial wicket.

"My thanks to all involved in securing these invaluable improvements for our club. With these in place, our facilities will be second to none locally.

"I am sure they will be enjoyed and thoroughly tried out by all our adult and junior teams. I might even get my kit out of the loft!"
