Westgate won the toss and elected to bat first and they were all out for 143 from 44.5 overs. Garry Tattersall (53) top scored, with Dan Birch (6-19) the leading wicket taker for Arnside.
In response, Arnside fell 30 runs short as they were all out for 113. Lee Illingworth (49) top scored, while Sam Conroy (4-33) was the pick of the bowlers.
Westgate raced to 20 for 0 after four overs and 44 for 2 after 10 overs.
With the dismissal of Dylan Conroy (17), the duo of Andy Hill and Garry Tattersall then added 65 runs, leaving the hosts handily placed at 109 for 3 with 28 overs gone.
It was then that Arnside got the bowlers on who put the ball in the right areas to cause the batsmen problems. Chris Howsley trapped Tattersall in front for a well constructed 53 and returned figures of 9 - 3 - 15 - 2 and at the other end Birch weaved his magic to record 9.5 - 1 - 19 - 6 with all the incoming batsmen unable to give support to Hill who ended up cut but unbeaten on 49 as a competitive total of 143 was set.
Sam Conroy then produced an explosive first over, dismissing Nobby Lee with the first ball and Adam Richardson with the last ball.
The bowlers then seemed to lack penetration as Lee Illingworth (49) and Mick Shepherd (14) accumulated a stand of 48 before Dylan Conroy struck in a two-wicket spell.
At the half way mark, the board showed 66 for 4 and this became 100 for 5 as Zak Buchanan was brought back on and produced a fine spell of 3 for 5 including the wickets of Illingworth and James Crawford (25). Sam Conroy also returned and helped to mop up the tail as the last five wickets fell in a hurry for the addition of only 13 runs. Sam had figures of 10.3 - 2 - 33 - 4 as Westgate maintained their position at the top of the table with a 30 run victory.
