Having played near neighbours Trimpell on Saturday, Westgate walked across the rugby field to play Bare on Sunday.
Bare were playing their second game of 20 / 20 on the day having entertained Carnforth earlier in the round robin format in a very close encounter, losing by four runs.
The hosts seemed tired by their earlier exertions yet asked the visitors to bat first.
Jack Huntington had broken his bat on Saturday hitting 82 for the 2nd X1 and so borrowed Khan Puffett's bat for this game. He started off as he intended to continue smashing the first three balls for four, two and three.
He recorded his 50 off 23 balls; and the opening partnership with Dylan Conroy (42) was ended in the 11th over at 139.
He then pressed the accelerator and his next 50 came off 19 balls as did his third one - in total he was in for 92 minutes and faced 74 balls hitting 114 in boundaries (21 fours and five sixes).
He added 136 for the second wicket with Matthew Hannigan (34n.o.) in under nine overs as he finished on 175n.o. and the total a staggering 275 for 1.
On 23 April 2013 Chris Gayle scored the highest individual 20 / 20 score ever playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India, he scored 175n.o. SNAP.
Chasing this total Bare settled for batting practice and made 79 for 6, with Alex Morrison 18n.o. and Liam Burrow 16 the main scorers.
All six bowlers that were used performed tidily as Westgate ran out comfortable winners on a day when anyone present will never forget and a day Jack will relive again and again. Khan Puffett is now short of a bat himself.
