I am writing to you at the end of another fantastic season for the club. Improvements to the club facilities have been completed and we are financially sound. Our exploits on the pitch have been outstanding once again. We have also enjoyed great support, both home and away, and have recruited new players whom have all played their part.
We achieved promotion from Yorkshire one, and next season we will be playing in North One East. We also returned to Twickenham for the third year running where we won the Intermediate Cup, the only team ever to have won back to back trophies at this national level. The players and coaches have once again put in a tremendous amount of work and commitment to achieve this, and the support has been tremendous.
The Society Dinner will be held on the last Friday in November as usual, at the clubhouse. This will be the Ninety Ninth Society Dinner, and I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. We are intending to hold next year’s Dinner, the One Hundredth, at a venue in Leeds town centre, and I am delighted to announce the Peter Baines, the immediate Past

President of the RFU will be our guest speaker. I would appreciate your help in informing any former pupils of the school that you are in contact with about next year’s Dinner, and asking them to contact us with their details if they are interested in attending. I will write to you again when we have confirmed the venue for the Dinner, and will ask you to indicate whether or not you are attending.
I would like to thank all of you who have supported the team and club throughout last season and look forward to seeing you next season when we are playing in North One East.
