Unfortunately we are a long way off whole team training in preparation for matches and because of this at present no teams at Westoe RFC are training during the off season in any form, either senior or junior. All coaches are aware of the circumstances and the officers of the club will review the guidance from the RFU and the government in the coming weeks and months.

The rugby section informed by the officers and committee members will be looking at when we begin some small group training in line with the RFU roadmap. At this time coaches will be required to complete the necessary risk assessments and procedures will be in place to support any delivery of activities.

At the appropriate time coaches will be encouraged to introduce rugby skills and focus on preparation for the return to game play. All activity will be consistent with the government guidance regarding health, travel, social distancing and hygiene guidelines.

Please rest assured safety of players and the safety of all of our community will be key in any decisions we come to over the coming weeks.
